Concealing Dark Under Eyes Tips

When concealing dark circles a cream concealer works best.

Use a yellow base concealer for blue under eyes and a peach/orange base concealer for purple under eyes.

HOTD

I woke up like this :P

I really did wake up with my hair wavy/curly. Thanks to a really simple method I like to call "Two Twists."
You just simply part your hair down the middle, twist the two sections away from your face and pin them up with bobby pins or clips. whichever you prefer. You can sleep in these and wake up with curly/wavy hair. Every time you do this the curls/waves with come out different. (:

What causes split ends?

Spilt ends come from three types of damage:

1. MECHANICAL damage which can be either heat, shampooing or drying.

2. CHEMICAL damage which can come from hair coloring, relaxers or heating tools.

3. ENVIRONMENTAL damage from sun, salt water or chlorinated swimming pools.

Braided Flower Tieback

I started by parting her hair down the middle and taking a piece of hair on either side of head. I simply braided the pieces and tied them off with an elastic. I gathered the two braids in the back of the head and tied them together. I took off the elastics from the previous braids undid the braids you could see and made a regular braid. I started tugging the hair on one side of the braid then I tied it off. Since I pulled the hair from the left I'm gonna wrap the braid going to the right. After it's wrapped it should look like a flower. Use as many bobby pins as need to pin the braid down in place and you done! (:  step-by-step pictures below. 👇

Our Moment One Direction Fragrance Review

"The sparkling, juicy and feminine fragrance is made up of splashes of fresh fruit and seasonal flowers infused with undertones of warm musk. The pink grapefruit, wild berries and redcurrants, combined with the delicacy of jasmine petals, and frangipani with the dry woody tones of musk and patchouli leave an enticing and playful scent on the skin."

This fragrance was given to my sister for her birthday. My aunt Dulce preordered the 3.4oz bottle from Macy's and it was shipped to our house. The cost for this bottle size is $59.99+ Tax.

On a scale of 1-5 I give the 'Our Moment' fragrance a 5!! It smells really good! (: and it lasts all day.

Testing how long it lasts:

I recently showered, It is 9:15am and I just sprayed the perfume on. This perfume smells delicious just like it's described. I'll check in and out to see how it goes.

It's 3:37pm so it's been about 6hrs and 22 mins. Between 9 and 3 I've slept for 2hrs, made and ate breakfast, also washed and folded clothes. The smell of this perfume has not faded!

It is now 7:47pm and the smell has not faded yet, I am impressed!!

It's 1:45am and it's just now starting to fade but you can still smell it. I'll check in one last time lasted before I shower.

Last check in! It's 9am and it's starting to fade off the skin. But for only using a little bit of this perfume it lasted a whole day!

The Primrose Everdeen Braid

This is a Prim inspired look from the movie Catching Fire.

Step-by-step:
Start off with a deep left side part
Pick up some hair and separate it into 3 pieces to start a Dutch lace braid. You'll only pick up hair from one side which makes it a lace braid. Pick up hair closest to the part line and not from the right. Continue the braid straight forward towards the front of her face and when you get close to the forehead slightly start curving it. When you get to above your eyebrow you will start to Dutch braid it adding hair from both sides and still continue to curve it. Once you have all your hair gathered right above your ear you'll start lace braiding the hair at a 45 degree angle from the right ear to the bottom of the left ear only picking up hair from the top and adding to the top strand. Make sure you pull the last strand tight so it lays snug against your/her head. Finish it off with a regular Dutch braid.

DIY Hair Mask

Today was my monthly hair mask day and I'll tell you what I did but first let me tell you a little bit about my hair.

My natural hair color is a dark brown black and before I dyed it it was super thick and healthy.
I dyed it jet black when I was like a sophomore and there wasn't really a big change till I went lighter and dyed my hair auburn brown. I then dyed it golden brown and I did not like it. So before I went to college I dyed my hair black so I wouldn't have to dye it anymore. Months went by till I decided to dye it auburn brown again. This was around October or November. I came home and decided I wanted it more red so I dyed it deep red. And I loved it! But by that time my hair was feeling really dry. I started using hair masks twice a month and my hair looks so much better. I recently dyed it black again and it was a big change. So today I did my monthly hair mask and this is what I used:

•Half of an avocado
•A small banana (or 1/2 a banana if it's big)
•1 egg
•2 tbs of mayo
•2 tbs of extra virgin olive oil

You mix all of these ingredients in a blow with a fork or put it in the blender for a purée finish.

Apply the mixture in your hair starting from your roots all the way to your ends.

When done applying leave in for 20-30 mins then wash it out, shampoo as normal.

When done let your hair air dry. Or if you want you can blow dry it and style it. (Don't forget to put heat protectant on if you are going to blow dry it.)

Your hair should feel soft and look shiny even after just one hair mask.

What is a hair mask?

Just like a facial mask can help correct your complexion, a hair mask can help your hair stay in shape!

You can buy hair masks at stores but at times they can be expensive to keep buying.
There are numerous masks out there that you can make at home using inexpensive ingredients.

There are masks for dry hair, damaged hair (due to heat, coloring, or bleaching) and even for frizzy curly hair.

The ingredients are used to repair your hair not style it. These masks should only be used twice a month. If used regularly it can result in additional problems, such as extremely oily hair.

Ingredients you can you:
Honey
Olive oil
Bananas
Avocados
Mayo
Eggs
And more!

Hair of the Day

Did this simple and easy pancaked 4-strand braid on my baby sister for school this morning. This is different from a regular waterfall braid because in a waterfall braid the third piece is always the one dropping and it creates a loose twist effect. While this one has a tight braid effect to it and looks like the strand of hair is falling between the braid. I also did waves on the falling strands to accent them so they would be noticible since my sister has straight brown hair.
I only did this on one side of her head but you can do it all around or even on both sides connecting them in the back.
If you want a step-by-step on how to do this then please like and comment! (:

Product was not worth the hype!

'The Rimmel London Stay Matte long lasting pressed powder'

I've been seeing this product in many makeup tutorials and have been wanting to get it for the longest time.

I finally went to Walmart with my dad and bought it, the cost $4.99 +tax.

This product is said to give you a natural shine control for up to 5 hours. Also minimize the appearance of pores.

I wore it to church the next day and it did last 5hrs before my face became shiny again. At the moment I truly loved it. I used it again Sunday and was still loving the results till Monday came around.

My skin got irritated by the product and I broke out more than I normally do. So I stopped using it for a while and my skin settled down.

My younger sister uses my makeup and has never broken out by any product I have until she used this powder. So I was really disappointed.. This powder is now just laying in my makeup box.

If you have sensitive dry or combination skin then I don't recommend this.

But it's up to you if you wanna try it.

Lords Supper

Today was the Lords Supper and it was just so amazing! This is the outfit I wore(: It's a hi-low black and white pattern dress with ruffles on the chest area and the bottom of the dress. I got it at Ross for less than $20! I paired it with some black platform heels from Rack Room Shoes. They were $39.99 but there was a sale and I got $5 off. I don't really own jewelry so I didn't wear any. I did some simple makeup and curled my hair.

8 Eye Make-up Tips for Beginners

1.) Always prime your eyes before applying anything on them.

2.) To prevent your eyeliner from smudging make sure your eyelids are oil-free.

3.) To make your eyes appear bigger you can use a white eyeliner pencil to line your waterline.

4.) To make your eyeliner look better try applying it with your eye open [instead of it closed]. It might be difficult at first but with practice you'll get better.

5.) To make your eyelashes appear longer just tight line your eyes with a black eyeliner then apply mascara.

6.) Mascara should always be applied from the roots an up.

7.) Clumpy eyelashes are a big No-No! (Unless of course you like them that way) To avoid this use a side to side motion to separate your eyelashes while applying mascara. Also when done applying mascara use an eyelash comb or a clean mascara wand to remove the clumps.

8.) You can curl your eyelashes either before of after applying mascara. (Your choice)
